Peculiarities of diver’s certification

To learn the art of underwater diving it is necessary to finish the diving training courses. At the end of the training course, no matter what form or length it is (it can be a full program, consisting of theory, practice in the swimming pool and in the open water or a trial introductory scuba diving lesson), a diver receives a certificate. We would like to point out the peculiarities of diving certification in the following material.
A little history
Diving appeared in Russia in 1995 and at this time first training centers and notion of certification came along. Certificate of aqualunger that were given in USSR are no longer valid. Today there is a large number of diving centers where one can go through diving training of any kind – from Discover scuba diving to full practical-theoretical course.
Where to learn and get certified?
Nowadays there are more than 20 established certificatory organizations in the world, whose certificates theoretically are accepted all over the world. In fact things can be a little different – your certificate may or may not be accepted in other countries and it cannot be foreseen. Sure enough, training in well-known diving centers is always the right choice because they are world-renowned and famous as Oxford or Harvard.
All diving centers belong to somebody and work by their own rules. That is exactly why no one can guarantee that your certification will be 100 % accepted it is better to be ready for that. By the way people who have a plunger or military training cannot do recreational diving without preparatory training. Scuba diving is totally different it has its own peculiarities.

Do you want to finish quality diving training and get a certificate? All this can be done in AHLA DIVE center.

Practicing diving? Keep to the immersion rules

Diving is a relatively safe kind of sport, but only when all the team members follow the immersion rules. We advise you to learn the peculiarities if this kind of activity and go through diving training if you do not want to encounter emergencies. Below you will find a list of rules of behavior under water that is especially useful to beginners.
What every diver must know
The basic rules for a diver are:
  1. It is forbidden to dive alone.
  2. Rising to the surface should be performed at the speed of air bubbles.
  3. Diving deeper than 40 meters is dangerous.
  4. Diving without a plan is potentially dangerous.
  5. Mind the time, air supply and depth.
  6. If you do not feel well, don’t dive.
  7. If you suddenly feel bad under water, ascend immediately.
  8. Check the equipment before diving
  9. Alcohol is diver’s enemy.
All these point are discussed in diving training courses, repetition is the mother of learning.
What to do in case of emergency
If something went wrong, there is no time to think, you should act promptly. If you are starting to feel bad – ascend. If your partner is in trouble you should establish the priorities, access the situation and immediately do the following: call for rescue service, organize transportation and provide the person with medical assistance.
After the diving
Climb onto the board of the ship slowly. Do not forget to thoroughly rinse and dry the equipment.

If you are planning to dive after a long break, take a diving lesson with an instructor to help you brush up your skills. Your safety under water depends largely on you – remember that.

Children and diving

Going on a holiday together with children has always been a rather important topic for many people. Scuba diving is an exciting and active pastime. Not only married couples do it but sometimes the whole family is into diving. Children dive into the water together with their parents and become more mature and independent.
At what age can one start diving? Every diving training course has its age limit, but a child has to be at least 8 years old. Off course the decision is made by the parents, based on their kid’s desire as well as his readiness to do diving. Instructor makes his decision based more on the kid’s physical characteristics, his ability to overcome difficulties and emotional maturity.
Is diving safe for children? The main aim of the elders is to teach their children to follow the procedure of diving and reduce the possible risk to the minimum. Strict following of the specially designed rules makes diving for children completely safe. It is carried out on the depths that guarantee safety: from 6 meters for 8 year-olds and to 18 meters for 12 year-olds.
The main pressure at the time of diving goes on the spine and legs that is why diving contributes to strengthening of the muscles of back and legs. Children adapt to being under water much faster than the elders do. They rarely have problems of any kind. Not all the grown-ups learn the special techniques that are used in diving at the first time.

Comfortable temperature of the Red sea allows grown-ups as well as children to practice diving in any season. Operating the whole year AHLA DIVE is situated on the Coral beach in just 50 meters from the warn Red sea. We invite grown-ups and children to take part in the joint diving training lessons, safety of which is guaranteed by experienced instructors.

Diving safety is important!

Diving is a very interesting and rewarding activity, but as in any other sport it has definite rules, that cannot be neglected. Let us have a look at what is safe diving.
The basic rules of behavior for a diver are the following:
  1. Water is full of risks such as undercurrents and flows, poaching nets in which you can ensnare, temperature shifts that a human body not always positively reacts to. Don’t forget that diving is a team sport, never dive alone, in case of emergency your teammates will be able to help you.
  2. Before making your first dives, go through diving training courses – it doesn’t take much time but will give you all the necessary information about the rules of behavior under water and will teach you how to cope with possible dangers.
  3. Choose your diving spot thoroughly. If you are not good at finding a good place to dive, consult a professional like an instructor or merely a more experienced diver.
  4. Do not swim away of your partner, keep a constant visual contact with him.
  5. Mind the time, equipment efficacy and your well-being. Everything must be all right.
  6. Fast ascending and descending are bad for your health. The speed of the rising bubbles is optimal and you should keep to it.
  7. Alcohol under water or before diving – is a strict taboo.
  8. Local fauna is surely beautiful but unsafe – do not touch anything under water.
Plunging under water – is not frightful or dangerous, if you do everything right. Go through a diving training in AHLA DIVE, follow the given rules and you will not encounter any difficulties.
